Motorsports enthusiasts are a passionate, detail-oriented audience. The brands serving them need materials that speak their language — visually aggressive, technically credible, and built for the culture. At Edge Advertising, the work demanded both production precision and creative range across a high volume of simultaneous catalog projects.

Opportunity

Parts Unlimited, Dennis Kirk, and Drag Specialties each served distinct segments of the motorsports market, requiring separate catalog families tailored to their audiences. With more than 20 catalogs per year plus supplements and a steady stream of ad briefs, the creative team needed designers who could produce at volume without sacrificing the visual quality that enthusiast audiences expect.

Approach

Working within a multi-designer agency structure, I contributed to the full catalog production pipeline across all brand families and motorsport categories. In addition to catalog work, designers were regularly briefed to develop original print ads for brands featured in the catalogs — multiple designers would submit concepts and the strongest work was selected for national magazine placement. Out of a competitive internal pool, 25 of my ad designs were chosen for print — a track record that reflected both creative instinct and an understanding of what resonates with a motorsports audience.
