Project Insight

A furniture retailer's photography is its showroom for the majority of its customers. For HOM Furniture, every image needed to communicate quality, style, and scale across a product line spanning thousands of SKUs. Consistency, efficiency, and a polished aesthetic weren't optional, they were the baseline.

Opportunity

HOM Furniture needed a high-output in-house photography operation capable of keeping pace with a constantly rotating product catalog while maintaining a cohesive, elevated visual standard. Beyond standard product shots, the brand required lifestyle imagery across 10 regional showrooms, executive and designer headshots, and a steady flow of promotional assets for digital and print.

Approach

Working with one assistant and a stylist, I led a structured shoot process that averaged 15 product pieces per day across four shooting days, with editing and file delivery completed by Friday. I designed and refined lighting setups tailored to different product categories, sourced and maintained all equipment, and developed workflows that kept the operation running smoothly week over week. Rug weeks pushed the volume dramatically, 500 to 700 rugs shot and processed in just a couple of days. Beyond the studio, I traveled to all 10 HOM showrooms to capture lifestyle imagery, directed model-driven promotional shoots, and shot headshots for designers, managers, and executives across the organization. When the creative team needed support, I stepped in as a backup graphic designer producing digital ads, flyers, and web assets.
