Hyper-Reality Composite Portraits
What is a Composite Portrait?
Composite portraits are a unique way to capture your family's personality with hype-realistic art. I'll tell your personal story by creating a portrait using dozens of individually captured images, masking them on the computer, then layering them into a full composition. The result is a personalized interactive portrait you'll cherish for years to come!
This is not your standard family portrait.
I've shot hundreds of family portraits, but these composites require a completely different process.
First of all, they take more time than you can imagine to create. Each composite can take over 40 hours to complete just on the computer alone. That doesn't include the time learning about your family and what you're looking for, the actual photo shoot, and possible additional shoots. I typically limit the number of clients I have to three per month. This gives adequate time to produce your unique portrait with the highest quality possible.
Secondly, due to the time and expertise to create these pieces of art, unfortunately they're not the inexpensive family shoot taken at a local park. This style takes planning and endless editing after the shoot. To give you a ballpark figure, my reservation fee is $500. My composite portraits start at $1,700 depending on the package you choose and the canvas size needed for your home.
But fear not, payment plans are available! I know that the price tag on this type of portrait will scare away a lot of people. It's hard to justify the price when there are so many other things you could spend money on. Cable, cell phone bills, car payments, vacations, etc. But think about this, will cable help you remember this time of your kids lives? Will you remember that conversation you had on your cell phone in a month, year, decade? These family portraits capture who you are, right here, right now.
Now I'm not advocating dumping cable to get a portrait done, but with a payment plan, isn't it worth it?
